Does Bradleys win over Peterson

Oh definitely, Shaw's a snake.

But if Shaw's financial abuse was that much of a concern for Bradley, he wouldn't have commited to him (and the Khan fight with it) in the first place.

It was only when his ears perked up to the sound the Bobfather's sweet voice, did he change his mind and want out. And it wasn't as if fighting Khan would mean he'd have to spend more time with Shaw. It was just one bout. After disposing of Khan, he would have free to do whatever he wanted.

 

Sure I didn't mind that it singlehandledly prevented any other big boxing match from ever happening in Detroit for the next 10 years and now made me the guy that defended boxing all these years while all of what they say are "real" fights are in the UFC. In my sarcastic voice

Tim Bradley on fighting Khan. Tell me that isn't a duck mentality.

 

I believe Khan would still beat Bradley to a UD. Peterson isnt the biggest puncher in the division but he has a good punch and was able to cut the ring off to stop Khan from slipping away. Bradley wouldnt have the power to keep Khan away, hes taken big shots from Maidana and peterson so Bradleys power wont neccesarily push Khan on the back foot or tire him.

Besides Peterson had every advantage, Home ref and judges with the crowd cheering everything peterson did.

Khan needs to be less arrogant in fights, the truth is if you give peterson a breather hell come back and bite you in the ass.

 

Peterson isnt a huge puncher either and still had khan runnin.

Bradley was already the #1 in the division over Khan, so the premise of the thread is flawed.

 

Bradley-Peterson was a great fight. Peterson came determined going straight to the body & Bradley went right back to his body.

 

Yea but he might not have made much from fighting Khan, getting raped by Shaw and all. As soon as he signed with Arum he wanted the fight, I think that's indicative of a management issue rather than a duck

unless khan learns how to deal with pressure fighters (a tactic other than backpedaling) then i see bradley embarassing him. in fact im betting timmy probably feels pretty bad b/c essentially peterson beat khan using timmys style.

the fight was just too close for me to put peterson above khan especially when you compare their resumes. it wasnt a robbery but it was a hometown decision and i think theres a big difference b/w the two.

hopefully theres a rematch soon and we can get a more decisive answer.

 

:huh really? Even though Peterson has 1 loss (to Bradley importantly) and a draw.
Khan has 2 losses (1 to a guy Bradley UD'd clearly)
And Bradley is undefeated with a resume not worse than either man and a win over the guy your rating number 1).

So how the **** can Bradley not be number 1 when neither Peterson nor Khan have beaten anyone ranked higher than him?

 

How the hell could anyone still rank Khan no.1? Bradley is definitely the top fighter in that division.

 

He would've made 1.3 million fighting whoever. Now he signed with Arum and he can't get a fight because his Floyd/Manny dream was flawed from the beginning.

 

Well bradley had unified the division twice now fighting the names of Witter, a prime Holt, undefeated Peterson, undefeated Alexander. Two shots figthers in Casamayor and Campbell and a perenial contender in Cherry. He also have a win over lightweight champ Vazquez. So for me he is the man to beat.

 

Khan's loss pushes Bradley to the top - and to be honest you *could* argue that Bradley always was at the top. But I think many people - me included - thought Bradley seemed to be ducking Khan so put Khan above him before.

 

I said Khan beats Bradley but now seeing Petersen got inside and Khan cant in fight and languishes on the ropes and cant fight out of his comfort zone

and then seeing Bradley as a better Petersen makes me think Bradley wins
