Shockingly, I think Canelo Chavez sells better than Canelo GGG. Many fans of Chavez Sr are buying this fight. They don't care about some Russian dude named "Goloko"
Boxing needs better promotion and less restriction to watching the fights. PPV has been dying recently and I think it's the only way to force the industry to change and embrace more accessible coverage. And if this is the only PPV that does well in a while, it sends the message that a fight doesn't have to be extremely good to sell, and Canelo doesn't have to fight the best to be popular. So I don't hope it does a million.
I think not. It could be even less, because it's mostly Mexicans buying it. The same people who already bought Canelo's fights. There won't be additional numbers from Puerto Rico for example.
It very well could, and that's obviously great business. And I'm even getting pumped about the rivalry and real bad blood between them But the better fight is with G and that's what my dollar wants to see
I think it has a good shot to exceed that, or at least get close to it. There's a big buzz going around for this fight which just shows what kind of interest it's getting from the fans, which is always great for boxing.
If Canelo outsells AJ, Canelo should tell AJ that he's the ultimate A side, and offer a catchweight fight at 185.5, or super duper Canelo weight
