Cotto would be better, because Roach would first have him fighting Roy Jones at 154, then Sergio Martinez at 147...

I think it would certainly help...... hell, almost anything would be better than who he had in the Pac fight. He needs to someone with some tactical knowledge, not just yes men.

If the guy clinched and was taught how to knick a breather/ spoil etc he'd be a better fighter. I don't think thats part of his fighting outlook though. He could've boxed the **** out of Margs if he spoiled just a little bit. Hell he made it to the 11 rounds getting slowly walked down.

Make all the snide remarks you like, but Freddie's a genius at correcting small flaws -- both offense and defense -- maximizing leverage -- without changing a fighter's style. Watched him do it with Pac at Wild Card, over a period of years, and recently with Amir Khan.

That's what i like about his style. He doesn't change the fighter, he just tweak some here and there. Perfect for offensive fighters.

Why does everyone associate pacquiao and roach with catch weights??

Oscar not weighing 147 was his own fault.
Cotto said he was fine with 145.

    I don't get it.

Coz that's the way they can claim their credibility and post heads-up even if they're proven wrong time and time again. Get over it these people are the "true boxing fans." Now learn your place, shut up coz ur a *******.:yep

Clottey is different. One catchweight is enough. He's proven he could compete at WW. Flame him if this is at catchweight.
