Valuev has a decent defense and the thing that makes him difficult for anyone is he utilizes his jab. Granted its not a Liston nor Holmes type of jab but he finishes his jab (full extension) and throws it enough that it can do cumulative damage, mitigate an opponents offense and like all jabs if you catch someone coming in with it thats a 300 plus pounds anchoring that jab.

Haye could get lucky but given their size differential he'd have to practically jump to get off a big punch and that is dangerous strategy cause there's no telling how you land.

F=MA. Are you totally forgetting that Valuev is over 100 lbs heavier than Haye?

Valuv is garbage. He doesn't know how to use his weight to punch hard except a jab and even that he doesn't throw it like it can.

Valuev is the most useless crappy no talent HW 'champ' of all time. It's just his size that makes him so awkward.

Valuev is hardly a 'hardhitter' and Haye definitly is.

:patsch he is 100 lbs heavier than a peak Tyson as well, he has 70+ lbs on Wlad as well, having the weight mens very little if you don't have the strength or technique to use it and Valuev can't fight nor can he punch.

He's in a division where 90% of boxers are around 100lbs lighter than him. He should have a near 100% ratio by your logic.

He isn't a big puncher for heavyweight, nevermind a 330lb monster. Saying all this, we won't know what Haye's power is really like at HW until tomorrow. I hardly think he'll be featherfisted, but I think we will see a reduction in power.

Valuev is like Randy Johnson (baseball player) in massiveness...But throws 88 (not 100) mph and has good control

As big as he is Valuev SHOULD be the harder puncher, but because of his clumsy oafish inability to transfer body weight properly he hits about as hard as Paulie Malignaggi
