    what does that tell me?

erm, it tells me that when haye has a proper training camp and is able to do sparring, he is sharper, has better reflexes, more speed, and isn't SLUGGISH.

And another thing...He should have lost the Valuev fight...he did NOTHING for 99% of the fight....not that Valuev did much more...but coming in and running away from the title holder for 36 minutes and landing a few counter shots should never gain you the belt.

Haye has always been chinny. He was as an amateur and he continued to be as a pro. He's not as glass jawed as some here like to make out but he definitely will go down if he's hit hard.

What people don't bring up is that he always gets up and usually recovers quite quickly.

Yes its true, after all that talking his chin is almost exhausted, but his legs are strong though from all the running from the klits

exactly haye sucks and has a glass chin.ö he has been avoiding big punchers for a while now. its exactly why haye wants to retire after 2 or 3 more fights instead of trying to make alot of money because he knows he sucks

His chin seems decent, it's his stamina thats the issue. He was gassed pretty early in the Ruiz fight. He looked good in the Valuev fight, but thats because he didn't do anything. He looked slightly winded in Barrett fight as well.

It's his training thats the problem. He bulks up at the expense of his endurance. It's worked out OK thus far, but he will be in serious trouble when he comes across an opponent who can take his shots, return fire, and get him into the later rounds.

Sam Peter would have given him fits. Peter's punch resistance would have shaken Haye's confidence the second he landed a hayemaker and Peter shrugged it off. Factor in Peter's power and we would have a pretty exciting fight.

IMO Haye's boxing skills do not suck, his offensive potential is exceptional actually. He's an incomplete fighter though and he hasn't improved at all over the years. The only thing he seemingly worked on his pacing himself to avoid stamina issues.

That said the combination of his lack of punch resistance *AND* his crappy wide-open defense make it virtually impossible follow in the footsteps of Holyfield, Ali, Dempsey and Louis as Haye proclaimed he would.

If he had a crappy chin and a good defense or a good chin and a crappy defense that wouldn't be such a big deal. But he has neither and he knows it.
