To a degree it has to degrade Haye's victory over Macarinelli. That's just the way things go. If Macarinelli had gone out and knocked off a marquee name I'm sure the Haye supporters would be crowing their heads off.

It works both ways. He got knocked out by an unheralded fighter and his career is in shambles.

the style in which Haye beat Enzo Mac was very impressive, Enzo Mac was winning the Olaf fight but was lazy and was KO'd. The fight doesn't really affect Haye but it's bad for Enzo Mac.

I think it was more of a lack of focuss on Enzo's part than being lazy. Now that lack of focuss might have been brought on by fatigue but thats what seperates real fighters from the rest. Being able to think and perform even when things arent going as you would like.Being mentally strong is a very underrated part of being a boxer.Theirs no way Enzo should have caught by that haymaker in the manner he did, being fatigued are not.

nah but i think Enzo just found a way into the UFC. wasn't anderson silva a pro boxer that was lik 1-2-(2 ko losses)? and he P4P the best in MMA just hink What enzo will be he's a former world tiltle holder at CW and he has a much better pro record then Anderson silva maybe they can fight each other in a stand up bout . LOL

Haye KO'd him in the second round

Ola KO'd him in the ninth round

you could also argue enzo hasnt been the same since his defeat to david haye...

I agree that scores were closer. Enzo did not dominate. He had an advantage but Ola had shown he could easily hurt him.

I dont think so,Enzo is still a good fighter i think lack of motivation and problems with weight contributed to Saturdays loss.Enzo has beaten some good fighters Wayne Braithwaite for one.I think it will be a hard road back for Enzo but his career isnt over. The win over Enz for Haye still looks good,at the time they were both world champs and 2 of the best if not the best in the division.

Nothing exposes hayes,,,he was a great cruiser,,,now that people want a big fight at heavy, he being over hyped,,,,,jirov, toney, an gomez were hyped when they first got up here,,,,toney hype job was much, worst, i think ring even had the balls to say he was the best boxer at heavy, after he beat ruiz,,.....Hayes should take note of what toney did, he raked in millions avoiding the klitchko an taking **** the whole time.....but seeing how hayes now appears not to be fighting wlad, he might of took very goods notes from toney....

    I call Bull****!

Wladimir totally dominated a younger, fresher Monte Barrett that was still considered a good prospect at the time. And, if you actually watched that fight Barrett was knocked down 5 times and he was a bloody mess before the ref stopped it.

It is really unbelievable how much some people here disrespect Toney.

First of all, Toney is an ATG, Haye is not. Toney started out as a middleweight, Haye as a cruiserweight. Toney was 35 in his first fight at heavyweight and was already a HOF, Haye is still young.

Toney was never overhyped, he fought competitive fights with then world class opponents like Holy (ranked number 5 by the Ring), Ruiz, Peter and Rahman.

Jirov and Gomez were never hyped as heavyweights. Gomez worked his
way to a title shot. Jirov lost his significant fights in that division.

Of course Haye is not exposed as it was clear from the outset that the only name in his record is Mormeck. Haye has skills and is a good boxer who now needs to prove himself.

When Wladimir KlitschKO fought Barrett, both were rising heavyweights. Haye completely shot Barrett, yet Barrett managed to drop Haye on his ass. There is no room for any comparision.

Well obviously it does, as Haye doesn't have any other KO's on his record!!! Enzo was the only bloke he's stopped(I think)

Holmes gets credit for beating Cooney and Calzaghe gets credit for beating Lacy. It's when you fight them and the manner in which you defeat them even if the fighters don't live up to their hype.

    :rofl

I dont think Barrett is much different to how he was when he fought Klitschko, he wasnt good enough back then and he wasnt good enough when he fought Haye.

Stop making out he was so much better back then :nono
