Frampton is small fighter.Move up for a easier fight.Could still make 122 no doubt. He's tiny. Sent from my LG-H443 using Tapatalk
Wanted the rigo fight more tbh , but this is a good figh as well i feel a lose to rigo doesnt set him back that much and he can still get the LSC fight with no issues , shame.
First to admit I haven't seen a lot of Frampton, but being an LSC fan I'd say he has got his hands full. He will have plenty of countering opportunities, put it that way
Well hes taking on a top fighter, so fair play to him. I think he had naturally outgrown 122 anyway. He'd been saying for a while that he was finding it hard to make the weight
Credit for what? Ducking Rigondeaux. Frampton is a short fellow. At 5'4 he would have been the shortest opponent Rigondeaux has faced, and really would have gotten destroyed, as he brings nothing to the table that would trouble Rigs. I'll give Frampton credit for getting a pay day. I'm fairly sure he is paid well by Haymon, otherwise he wouldn't have signed with him. Unfortunately for Frampton, Santa Cruz presents a whole other set of problems then the crafty Rigondeaux does. Santa Cruz is about 5'8 at least. He will tower over Frampton, just like he towered over Kiko Martinez. Like Martinez, Frampton doesn't have good feet, or good head movement. He will end up getting stuck on the outside of that long Santa Cruz reach after a few rounds, and be pounded out. He looked like **** against Quigg, and also that Latin guy on his PBC debut.
Not according to him and his camp. Also define "tiny" he's about 5'5. He's the same height as someone like Denis Shafikov, or even Khuritzde. He's a strongly built guy
Are serious? Please explain as Frampton has excellent foot speed and lateral movement, your constantly hating on him so enlighten us
Second divisional title against a bigger man. I would have loved to see the Rigo fight but I'm in agreement with most that the LSC fight is just as good.
It's a better pay day than Rigo and he has a better chance of winning against lsc. It's still a tough fight and Rigo is high risk low reward in terms of money so which is the better option.
You do realise lesser fighters than Frampton have dropped Rigo multiple times right? At his age he may well be living off a reputation that he can no longer sustain. If I was him I would have looked to Loma anyway. He was more than up for fighting him.
LSC is tailor made for Frampton. He plods forward and will be picked off all night. Frampt took the easy road.
Nah, nah nah. You will give LSC credit for beating a guy you felt would pick him apart in an easy road fight.
