Fury would be a fool not to take the fight. He has the major size advantage over Usyk, Usyk is not a great KO threat to him and he'll have UK judges on his side if the fight happens in the UK (they seem to all be happening in the middle east however now)
He will wait till Usyk gets older. Usyk's main assets are speed and stamina. Fury's main asset is size. (they both have big ring IQ) Age will diminish speed and stamina, but Fury will still be big. If the fight happens, Fury stalls by fighting a voluntary, wait for Usyk to fight a mandatory, then Fury has a mandatory, then say he needs a tune upl...Usky could be 37-38 years old.
Nah I wasn't been entirely serious. Usyk's a brilliant fighter but if you wanted to undermine his 200+ lbs record that's what you'd say. He did have a tough fight with Chisora (albeit his 1st serious 12 round fight at the weight against an almost 3 stone heavier man and Chisora has a lot going for him in terms of toughness, experience and pressure fighting proficiency) and Joshua did quit against Ruiz but outboxing him comfortably over 12 in Britain is no mean feat, especially in your 2nd serious 12 round HW fight and first HW championship fight. But at the same time I don't believe Fury thinks that Usyk is likely to beat him based on that. He was able to play with Chisora back in 2014 and I'm sure he'd back himself very strongly to comfortably outbox and KO Joshua. Styles make fights though and Usyk seems to have the tools to give Fury more trouble in a pure boxing match than anyone else he's faced. Fury knows it's a tricky fight, albeit one I think he'll take and win if Usyk beats AJ again.
I think Fury knows it would be shameful to duck Usyk and he would never live it down with the ''travellers'' either.
What is his problem??? He's acting like a child who will say anything for attention but he's doing it via social media - it's just bizarre.
Fury will either shamelessly duck Usyk calling him a juiced up middleweight with no fans who isn't worth his time, or he'll try to age him out. Trouble with the first strategy is that literally no one with a functioning brain will believe it, thus making Fury look like a massive Nancy boy. As for the second strategy the problem with that is that Fury with his garbage lifestyle will age even quicker than Usyk, so the longer he leaves it the narrower his window of victory actually becomes. Personally I think his chance of beating Usyk fairly has already passed, so it's irrelevant what he does.
Does Usyk Duck Fury? How do we know who is afraid of whom, in something that is not a sport, but a business? Intertwining of media and boxers; trashtalk means nothing until the fight happens.
As domeone who has watched Fury for years now its obvious to me he doesnt want to fight Usyk. He cites Cunningham as his most difficult opponent. The reasons why is why he knows Usyk troubles him. He doesnt want to take that risk to have his bubble burst. For example he would gladly fight AJ. There is a big diffirence how he acts when either is brought up. His whole demeaner screams that he doesnt want to fight that man.
If Usyk beats Joshua once more Usyk and Fury have to fight for Undisputed simple as that. More money for Fury v Joshua fight but true boxing fans want to see the 2 undefeated Champions settle it to see who is the best,so Usyk v Fury it has to be.
