Who, the Hattons? Well Ricky's comeback fight was an excellent card too. But I'm sure they had some poor ones too, the ones with Matthew Hatton headlinig springing to mind.

But is was a PPV. and if you look at it there were all the same fighters on the card. So there capable of producing a good card 3x a year?

The Barker card from a few weeks ago would have been a standard card back in the Friday Fight Night days. It's the worse Sky show in 6 months noe.

Barker vs Ritolo - Decent name in a mismatch. Standard FFN procedure.
Then you would have had highlights of Groves vs the Argie and Purdys fight.

We would have never seen Clarke vs Camacho & Conner vs Evangelou, both great fights. Not to mention the off TV card which you also see live now.

You can't have anyone crediting someone who isn't Hearn can you?

I actually think in general Hearn is doing a better job than the other main promoters. But it's not as black or white as Hearn being great and the rest terrible. Frank has had some terrific cards in his time (remember the excellent Magnificent 7 card), the Hatton's have and even Hennessey has. Don't worry so much about promoters anyway!

No because they don't deserve any. Its nothing to do with singling out Hearn for praise, he has become No.1 in the UK by default rather than doing anything ground breaking.

  6. I think that the previous regime was better with competition
For bouts,it just needing tweaking with no guranteed dates

    Hattons have crolla,quigg,m Murray,buckland etc
Maloney has David price and showed the likes of sykes/buckland and mcdonnel/hall

No promoter gets it right every time and Maloney was definitely guilty of poor quality shows.watch fightnight reloaded for evidence

But the point is there is an abundance of promoters,if they had to present a card to tv companies then you will have better quality

The problem arises when promoters are making the bouts through the tv revenue they know they are getting with their dates.if they havnt got guaranteed dates then they probaly can't get the quality fights.it's a situation that is hard to resolve

Friday Fight Night was the highlight of my week, Hearn has ruined boxing.

Froch-Kessler are two bums... Who pays money to watch 2 losers fight?
I want to watch SOG vs Mayweather... The 0 MUST GO

and don't give me crap about weights, Undertaker is much heavier than CM Punk but that fight went ahead and it was awesome.

Hearn needs to promote Ward vs Mayweather and Froch vs Kessler on the under-card if he wants my £14.95

The lack international cards are the problem. If Sky/Matchroom got an international fight every time or nearly every time they had their own show then a poor show would be more acceptable if there was a goldenboy or a top rank show following it.
