To be fair mate, I am posting after the event, but I called Ionut Dan as Kell's first defence on here ages ago, simply because he was a number 1 contender who had no right to be so.

Dan, despite his record, is probably not even a top twenty WW, and he certainly is not a noted ko puncher!! He was the perfect opponent for Kell to look great against and it sets up a showdown with Khan beautifully.

I am a huge Kell Brook fan, and I have often been a fierce critic of Amir Khan, but I was really impressed with Khan in his last fight (it seemed to me that Amir had finally decided to pay attention to Hill's excellent advice)...now I do realise that Kell will improve greatly from this fight to the next, but now I am starting to consider Khan-Brook to be a real 50/50 fight (when previously I considered Brook to be a certainty).

Amir and Kell should make sure that fight happens, because it is likely that Mayweather and Pacquaio are going to fight each other at least twice!! And who else out there offers Khan or Brook the same payday?
