Quite funny that lots of people accepts newspaper decisions as "words from god almighty". As I read it here, lots of journalists and newspapers cannot be trusted.

I love this film,,one thing I've noticed after Johnson dropped Ketchel the 1st time and Stanley arose Johnson didn't seem all that interested in finishing him. I've no doubt Jack carried him and Stanley landed a big punch that caught Johnson unaware, Jack ,then highly pissed off killed him. As he's standing there he looked like he was waiting for the waitress to seat him for dinner.

It looks like both knockdowns were fake tbh, wouldn't be surprised to discover it was more WWE than boxing.

Ketchel had his front teeth knocked out and was unconscious for 12 minutes. His manager subsequently wore one of the teeth on his watch chain.
    How you doing fella?

Is that fact though or urban myth?

The way Ketchel rests his head gently on the canvas after supposedly receiving the knockout blow looks very suspicious to me.

Not too bad, had the worst Christmas imaginable but got to keep going.

Yes he was carried to his corner no doubt but was all that part of the show, like I said the way he gently nestled his head on to the canvas after supposedly getting sparked out looks very strange to me.

I hope so and same to you.

I don't think you would go the the lengths of having your teeth knocked out for the sake of realism.
Johnson had a big bet the fight wouldn't go past 15rds.
