    Yeah i rectnly readabout that fight and Laporte said that Barry outworked him in that one, but wasnt hurt.

    Chavez also had a close fight against Lockridge, I believe he broke or hurt his hand in that fight. Its looks clear something was wrong with his right hand because in the middle rounds he starts jabbing and moving alot more and proceeds to outboxing Chavez, a close fight though and naturally Lou Duva complains in the end his fighter was robbed (Lockridge). Also out of curiosity where abouts in Sydney are you from?

    Ok yeah i read about that a little bit in 'the ring', when they were talking about FOTY' 88 lopez vs lockridge.

    Also i have seen a couple of Lopez fights recently and i am impressed, i will start a thread about him after i watch him against molina and loickridge.

    Yeah mate from the western suburbs, blacktown-Richmond way.

    Out at Richmond ay? I'm from that way to, Camden/Campbelltown so not to far away. In fact my 2nd last fight was at the Richmond club. I haven't seen any of Lopez sadly so I can't tell you much about him, I'm going to get a hold of his fight with Lockridge though seeing as how its FOTY.

    Yeah im probably 20mins before richmond, stuck between richmond and Blacktown.
    So have you had many fights mate?

    He had good chin, but he was not ko'd cause he could box and punch with those guys, and they were not walking in taking pot shots. He was very good all around fighter, and one of best of time he fought in. He moved well, knew how to box, and was tough, could slug-----so he never took a bad beating in prime.

    I've had 3 fights, 2-1. I lost the last one. I've been out for about 3 months due to a fractured orbital socket, I restarted training this month so hopefully I'm back in the ring by March.

    Pedroza punished him in, well.......a lot of ways too, and Sanchez pretty much beat him badly over the last third of that fight. He was only a year removed from the title when McGuigan took it to him.

    Yeah, i have to say his chin was a lot more proven than conveyed. Gomez went after him hard in a spiteful bout.

    he ko'd Lockridge in two rounds Laporte had 1 punch KO power as well as a good chin

    Yeah i meant Chavez had a close call with one of them, but i didnt know Laporte Got Lockridge out so quick.
