    Pac's top fight night weight-148.5

    Floyd's-149

They're built different, but I doubt there is any strength difference.

    Floyd's a midget WW!

Cotto and Shane are built huge, so I won't call Pac fighting them a duck. The only reason I see Pac fighting Cotto instead of Floyd is because of the style match up, but that should not hold the fight back!

    Im salivating at this matchup

Win or lose Pacs got the legacy locked.

Win and Floyd has to fight WW or retire then he gets very little credit if he did that.

Lose and Floyds legacy is I'll drop him between 170-180 GOAT list. And the way everyone loves Floyd, thats a pretty lenient placement

This is a possible career/legacy ender for Floyd

I'm kind of torn on this one. Mayweather clearly does more for Manny's legacy, and it's the fight I really want to see anyhow, but at the end of they day, I would give Manny INSANE props for beating Mosley, who I think is the most dangerous viable matchup for him.

D, I don't think I'd accuse Manny of ducking them, but he opened this door by taking the DLH fight. However people want to mitigate what happened that night, he completely destroyed a much bigger man. When people see things like that, they tend to remember and want an encore.

    Yes he does.

I would be disappointed but not utterly devastated should he choose to fight the other top welters though. Never would have thought it possible that matchups with the likes of Mosley and Cotto would be even talked about at this point.

Besides, if I really thought is was a duck, it would not be Paquiao ducking, it would be Roach and Arum's idea!

PAc needs to fight Floyd if Floyd wins. If he doesn't, his legacy won't be sealed just like Floyd's won't be either. Ducking a fighter happens rarely in this sport. When a fan accuses a fighter of ducking another fighter, you are implying that, that fighter is basically scared of the other fighter.

but he's still campaigning at WW. if he's fighting at JWW, then we have a case that pac is ducking him, but he's not. if he really think that he's a small WW, then why not campaign at JWW?

by this post, it's better to fight cotto or mosley than pbf, since theyre much bigger.

True about the DLH bit. Casual fans has no clue about the circumstances of the fight.

Arum is a douche, this guy with his intent of squeezing Floyd has deliberately dangled Cotto as Pacs next foil. Cotto has nothing to gain but money in this fight, and if Pac loses big, Arum just killed both his top fighters.

Roach and co has enough time to prepare for Floyd. It will be an uphill climb no doubt, Mannys only salvation is Floyds average power, which was obvious in both the HAtton and Diego fight. Those two took about 200 shots to the head and surprisingly lasted a while.

Stylewise both have advantages straight left vs, straight right...manila ice vs. check hook. Floyds distinct advantage is his defense, Im curious how manny can get through. Pac d is underrated now but I still saw lots of opening with the Hatton fight when he gets overly aggressive

The only one's ducking will be Arum and Roach because of the style match up. I think they're probably just talking out their ass right now anyway! Arum always is so no surprise.

Mosely will kick his ass, and Cotto will KO him.

Better to fight them? No, more dangerous. Cotto is the most favorable match up style wise, but Cotto and Shane are the more dangerous fights.

Hey, Floyd might as well fight Pac at 140 for the lineal title in my opinion. He's only 3 pounds or so away from that when he fights JMM. That's if he beats JMM.
