The better question, Scar, is why is Jones' team even considering this?

For Adamek, there is still something to be said for scoring a vicious knockout victory against a name like Roy Jones, so you can't blame Team Adamek for drooling at the prospects that Jones is dumb enough to sign for this fight.

    Ya know?

This is the point at which he runs off which is why i told you to read the sig earlier(for once i saved one of his goodies). He doesnt think **** through before he post's because it is out of hate. You should his DM conspiracy theories and stories than he cant back with ANYTHING but his own imagination.(He loves Roy and hates the fact DM ever existed)

I can name tons of elite fighters that were never top 5 P4P.Another goodie he didnt really think through before he posted.Just another stupid standard thrust upon by a stupid poster.

..and then you have the nerve to go on and lie about me pumping up his stature.

There werent many fighters like foreman EVER. He was a bigger Tyson with a great chin. And the fact that he could fight at a high level almost to the age of 50 goes without saying

Im not changing anything, Im saying the same thing, problem is you guys cant really combat what im saying with any solid points.

I combated, you're just being obtuse.

Frazier couldn't beat Foreman's style, ergo, by your own words he was not elite.

Also, you never named an example of an explosive pressure fighter with a punch who Jones beat.

I'll let you slide on that one, but Joe Frazier ain't elite in your eyes by your own words.

This illustrates just how poor your definition was, and regardless, it is premature to clump Adamek in that category in any case.

I guess fighting Hopkins, and a then p4p top 2 fighter in Toney, moving up well past his best weight doesnt count for seeking tough fights??

What top p4p fighters have Adamek fought??? Why isnt he going after a fight with Cummingham??? Why is it that his fans are calling for him to rematch Dawson but his isnt??? why isnt his chasing Haye??? Or G. Jones?? Instead of a mid 40 something past his prime middleweight???

That Jones never actively sought the DM fight is one of the biggest scars on his grossly overrated legacy.

You can't count the Hopkins fight here if you're being intellectually honest.

The Toney win was a good one, but that style didn't suite James very well (who, incidentally, is another fighter that was never elite by your own standard, for there were a couple of styles he could not beat).

When did Jones ever seek out the best in any division he was ever in?

Who was there like foreman??? Joe beat big punchers in the past. Saying that he never beat anyone like foreman is like saying that Henry Armstrong isnt elite because he never beat anyone like Robinson...There is not other Foreman.

Look you cats are getting off the subject and tring to turn the fact that Adamek isnt an elite figher into a bunch of crap about what Jones never fought. Fact is Jones was a great fighter, and he beat other great fighters like it or not its a fact, that you cant change by saying stupid sh*t.

    That was your own point!

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Don't hold YOUR own words against me. You were the one who said, in no uncertain terms:

"Elite fighters should be able to beat them all. That dont mean that they should win every fight. What Im saying is if a certain style always causes a fighter to lose a fight then he isnt an elite fighter."

Well, once again, Joe Frazier NEVER BEAT A CERTAIN STYLE--The George Foreman style!

Now you're back-tracking and saying nobody else ever had a style like Foreman. That actually amplifies your point about Joe not being great by your own definition.

Perhaps you're beginning to realize that you presented a pretty shitty definition, which was seemingly fueled by an attempt to undermine Adamek?

Regardless, any way you slice it, Foreman possessed a style that was way too much for Frazier. Was Foreman unique? Yes. So what? Frazier couldn't cope with his style.

Actually, I said that I myself might not quite consider Adamek elite and emphasized the importance of a definition in the first place.

I think Adamek is undoubtedly a top 15 fighter in the world, and is even higher on a list in terms of providing entertainment value.

So really, you're just trying to weasel your way out of your own words by refusing to concede the fact that your provided a **** bag definition.

Jones was an AMAZING talent. You'll never hear me deny that.

But in terms of truly great champions of the past--fighters who dared to be great and always sought the best fights--I'm sorry, RJJ doesn't make the cut. Not even close.

He never gave a **** about being great, he just cared about fattening his own wallet.

In the end, he screwed himself, the fans, and the sport.

    **** Roy Jones!

I look forward to hopefully having an opportunity to see Adamek **** him up, royally!

    No you ****ing half-wit!

The reason you do not count Hopkins is because B-Hops was in no way the fighter he would later become. Fighting Hopkins was not the result of Roy seeking a tough fight. It was a fight for a vacant title that he was supposed to win in dominant fashion, and instead, he looked like a timid fighter who in no way lived up to the prefight expectations.

I'm not arguing that Adamek is elite, though!

I'm just saying I hope that clown Jones is dumb enough to take a fight with Adamek, so that we can see Jones continue to make a mockery of himself.
