Just hoping for an exciting fight, which I think we'll get. In the past, JMM has said that he has changed his style to make for more fan-focused fights with lots of action. With FMJ though, I think he will have to back off the aggressiveness just a bit so as not to get caught with a counter punch. I'm hoping for FOTY out of this one.
probably on the downside and Mayweather should win. I do think that if Marquez were to have a chance to beat Mayweather he should try and go for broke and see if Mayweather is a little rusty early. Get him into a war. But Mayweather is natural at 147 and his power and size might be too much and will keep Marquez from being too aggressive.
I agree. IMO, Marquez won't last three rounds. Floyd has to make a statement to get a better leverage in purse nego.
You may be talking about the first fight. The 2nd fight is close w/ the KO in 3rd tilting in Pac's favor.
Let me tell you what the Diaz fight indicates: This content is protected This content is protected It indicates that a light punching lightweight had enough physical strength to almost knock JMM out. Floyd watched that fight ("I saw the last few rounds" Yeah ), and he knows career FW JMM won't survive the WW version of the left hook that sent Hatton into the ring post. Next thing you know is Floyd calling Ellerbe "tell Richard we take the fight. For Chrissakes, tell him N_O_W!!!" It's like JuanMa choosing Darchinyan to land that left hook and say 'I beat a P4P-er'. Good for you. atsch
Diaz and Mayweather are COMPLETELY different fighters, I've never seen Mayweather put pressure on his opponent at even nearly the same level as Diaz does. Diaz is a pressure, high paced, aggressive fighter. . where as Mayweather would, if he could, lay back and counter you all night with his great defensive skills. Marquez I feel is not aging at all, We could all see from the Diaz fight that: He has the chin to take MULTIPLE shots, he still has his ring intelligence and wits about him, The power is there, Counter punching and accuracy is there. . The will & determination? Still there. Marquez will definitely give Mayweather a run for his money
