Does the General Forum grind anyone else here down sometimes?

Iv posted on ESB under various names for years... back in the Spud days before it all shut down. And I have found myself reading and posting on the General Forum alot less.

Most of the posters have their own biased opinions and cannot see reason (even though they are clearly talking out a hole in their ass) so why bother? Just frustrating.

There are clear biased posters on British forum as well (Scurla, Flint) but the ratio is far more favorable lol.

    In reply to Icemax:

Yeah I agree some have gone completely over the top and they are just as bad as the americans so thats not good in my book and its a reaction to all the bull**** that is spouted on there on a daily basis, looks like people are gtting sick of it!
The twin towers thing was extremely bad taste - no need of it!

Basically the GF is just turning into America vs Europe.

Each defending their own fighters and making **** threads(mainly the yanks) about Calzaghe's ducking him and every fighter who has ever lived.

The mod's need get a grip to limit the amount of **** threads every day.

Set limit of threads each day with 'Calzaghe' in the title would be good!

Its like they think the boxers are fighting for them by proxy! Trying to proove some nationalistic superiority.

I find myself solely in wind up mode there now. Its not worth having an argument with some of the most ignorant, arrogant humans to live on earth. Whenever you see die hard fans just post up a pound for pound list where they are dropped a good ten places, its always fun to see the wound up reaction of these so called experts.

Intelligent debate is largely a forgotten art on the General Forum.

To go on the wind-up is therefore the really only worthwhile reason to go in there (generally speaking!)

I had an intelligent debate with someone this morning. But, yeah, wind up mainly.

I still can't bring myself to support Flint's Hopkins v Maccarinelli thread though...

There are a fair few level headed Americans in there. It's not solely the yanks who are the problem.
