May 30th Rule Britannia PPV from Matchroom from Sky Box Office:

    Kell Brook vs. Frankie Gavin
    Kevin Mitchell vs. Jorge Linares
    Lee Selby vs. Evgency Gradovich
    Anthony Joshua vs. Kevin Johnson
    John Ryder vs. Nick Blackwell
    Scott Cardle vs. Craig Evans
Dave Ryan vs. John Wayne Hibbert.

    Worth 19.95?

Yes in my opinion but there is no justification for it being the same price as Pacquiao vs Mayweather. Nathan Cleverly and Lucian Reid are on the card too

I think it's a far better card than the Bellew-Cleverly one.

3 interesting world title fights and the chance that big AJ might actually go some rounds. I'm saying yes.

Yeah. I assume it wasn't cheap to get guys like Linares and Gradovich to fly over and defend their titles though, and Brook wasn't even suppose to be fighting until July so I'm giving them a buy here.

Not sure I'd go that far but I believe 3 world title fights on one night is the first time this has happened on British soil in 15 years.

As long as Sky/Matchroom stay in business then the answer's yes, as voted by the great British public.

The Sky PPV model's the only way that large amounts of money the likes of which were offered to Frampton are even vaguely imaginable. That's the economic reality of how boxing here is marketed at present. Just as with Premiership football, or any pro sport, cash is king. And Sky have the cash. You may not like it (I don't, haven't even got Sky) but that's how it is. Is it good for boxing? Yes and no. More exposure's great but there's always a price to pay (£19.95!).

    Good card, btw.

It's hard to say because it's a good card, if you've paid for a ticket you're the real winner but it's not worthy of paying a PPV price. But the card wouldn't be happening without PPV so, in a roundabout way it has to be PPV to happen.
