Would the fury who beat klitschko fare any differently to the Wembley version? I realise style s and timing make differences in fights, aj s style of fighting would have left him more open to klitschko s shots as opposed to Fury's. But would that have made a difference if the Wembley version of klitschko had met fury in Germany? Would he have given fury a harder fight, hurt him and not give the fight away as easily. Or is it a styles make fights scenario where fury always beats klitschko whatever?
as klitchko threw punches against Joshua he might give fury a harder time but then again like you said AJ style of fighting leaves him more open so klitchko can get set and throw, with fury he's so dam awkward uses good lateral movement and this throws wladimir off so I do think its a stylistic problem for wladimir but who knows what would happen I wladimir starting popping of the right hand he may clip fury a couple of times and indeed hurt him
Your right, it could be a case of fury always giving klitschko a loss but Wembley klitschko seemed more aggressive and able to get through more. Now whenever he could do that against tyson I don't know, but it would make for a more effective way for Wlad. People say that wasn't the same wlad against fury, how much of that was down him or tyson s style of fighting. I'm certain Wembley klitschko would have rocked the boat a lot more than he did in Germany.
he would give a better account of himself. However, Fury and Joshua have different styles. Wlad had problems with the slickness of Fury. Joshua is not slick. So Fury still wins in my opinion. He may even have beaten prime Wlad in my view.
The idea that AJ beat a better version of Wlad is laughable. The idea that Wlad wasn't motivated to knock Tyson Fury out in 2015 is nonsense. Fury shut Wlad down. He did it with footwork. Wlad was rarely in position to throw punches, that's why he didn't throw them. Joshua was much better suited opponent for Wlad to look good against. There's more sense in saying Wlad's loss to AJ was due to failure in throwing punches, since he failed to finish off AJ when AJ was a punch or two away from being stopped and was a stationary target. Throwing more punches against Fury would have only resulted in missing punches by about five feet distance and would have made Wlad look even worse than Fury already made him look.
I agree with the idea that just throwing more punches at Fury would not have been enough. But, if we are to suggest that Wlad's loss to Fury was about Wlad not being in position to throw punches, this raises a question about Wlad's offensive prowess, does it not? While I had gathered before AJ/WK that Wlad was not going to have to look for Joshua, I do wonder why Wlad did not make a serious attempt at finding Fury.
And the answer is: Wlad did not have enough offensive prowess to overcome Fury's defensive prowess. What that says about Wlad's offensive prowess in general or Fury's defensive prowess in general is open to debate.
I'll bet u any amount that fury could never repeat that performance in a month of Sunday s. And I've doubts fury will even beat any one who comes close to been as good as klitschko ever again.
Not sure, but people generally underrate dusseldorf fury, with time i think people will appreciate what a perfomance was... Fury is h2h beast
We need the top heavy s now to get together and fight, get one unified champion. And hopefully fury in the mix. When all s said and done he's the lineal champ.
I was genuinely baffled by Wlad's apparent reticence. Yes, Fury was being awkward with his movement but, we saw in the last couple of rounds that Wlad could have forced the issue, if he had decided to, much earlier.
One would assume so. It just makes me all the more curious, as to why he threw caution to the wind against the bigger puncher, in Joshua.
