Does Victor Ortiz think he's Manny Pacquiao??

    I'm starting to think that now as well. After the Maidana I was willing to give him a chance and was hoping he'd come back, because he's got all the other tools to be very good, power, speed and skills. But there doesn't seen to be the aggression or determination in him that you need to be a complete fighter.

    Ortiz was 156 on fight night with a 9 pound advantage over Peterson. He is essentially a WW. I really don't understand why they would be asking for 143.

    Di Bella needs to get his facts right. He is exaggerating. Ortiz was 156 against Peterson. Berto was 159 against Hernandez.

    But yeah, Ortiz is basically a WW so no need for weight stipulations

    Its probably because they know Berto would struggle like hell to make 143 and they know Victor Ortiz would make it reasonably comfortably.

    After his last fight does he legitimately deserve a shot at a WW world title?? He should be thankful for the chance not trying to get his own way. Tbh i think berto will end ortizs career which will be good as long as ortiz isnt too badly hurt, he needs to find a new career

    To be honest I'm a massive fan of berto he has blistering speed very good power good combinations and had a massive uppercut. Think he can go far being ranked 3rd in a division that is ruled by pretty boy and Pac man is not a bad thing.

    Ortiz has realised that he doesn't really want to be a fighter - but he'll likely make some great paydays and, being a smart kid, invest it all. He'll retire by 30, having never had another gruelling fight ala Maidana, but rich, content and able to support his family.

    As others have said he just doesn't seem to have it mentally to make it at the top level. I really rated the guy early on as well.

    He can **** off with this catchweight demand.

    Ortiz-Berto is a decent fight still. Wouldn't mind seeing it.
