I have to agree, I can't ignore his clumsy style. Cal fans will say just look at his record, but he ain't that good to me.

Had to be carefully matched and winning of off sheer high volume output, because finesse he doesn't have

the Byron Mitchell win was bad, the way calzaghe turned to the ref to ask 'why haven't you stopped this yet like you were asked to do?' just before the stoppage.

Zaggers will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next week. Thoroughly deserved.

That's unfortunate. The man made his living fighting nobodies and old, shopworn legends. Absolutely shameful.

I see the slapping joke is entirely lost on you. How unfortunate to have no capacity for levity.

some absolutely appalling cheating stoppages made in order to preserve an undefeated record, to which the dumb response from calzaghhe nuthuggers is '46-0 deal with it'. News for them -you've already been dealt with, chumps, and that dirty dealing was done by your own hero, getting you to pay for his faked fights.

non-brits need to stop canning calzaghe's ability, and brits need to stop thinking that he is an 'ATG'
there is a middle ground where calzaghe will be remembered, but it won't be where either 'extremist' wants it to be

I wonder if its Joe's self esteem problems due to all this faking of fight stoppages and weak opposition that led to his cocaine habit.

Sometimes you gotta wonder if he did the right thing by artificially preserving his record - if he'd been honest fought the best and absorbed a few losses at world level then perhaps he'd sleep better at night and not feel like he'd cheated his fans.

Personally I'd rather be a Froch -deliver the goods for my fans and sleep well in the knowledge I did it.

In my honest opinion, Joe had such a huge ego, I don't think he could have handled a loss.

You guys need to find a sport where bird chested white boys don't beat the **** out of your "badazz" hero tough guys. Nobody that fought Joe would say anything of this sort, they may have said it before the fight, but never after their loss, yes EVERYONE that fought Joe got beat.

Beat Roy, Hopkins, Eubank, Kessler, and many others, never lost... Name the other guy that did that? The guy was awesome to watch, if you want to explain boxing to a fight virgin, show them a Calzaghe fight so they can see that style and speed can destroy hype.
