Does wilder get credit for beating Tyson fury if he knocks him out in a round?

No, just like we dont give credit to Canelo for robbing GGG twice.

Fury is washed up, period. Which is why Wilder is interested in fighting him.

Agreed. That's definetly going to be a factor. Tyson if he's serious about making a comeback, would need a good few fights to see if his current trainer works for him.

Watch Fury Vs Pianeta or Seferi and then tell me Fury is the same fighter he was 4-5 years ago and he wasn't all that back then.

And don't start giving it "Fury needed more time, another camp and he has had it now, he will be back to his very best.."

Firstly you just do not know that and also what's that old saying?

Is it "you're only as good as you're last fight" and if that's the case then Fury is bang average and boring.

I won't dig Wilder out though, it's apparently a "money fight" and that's fine with me, you can only beat what's in front of you and the bottom line is a W is a W.

But I won't call it a great win or anything similar, it's just a money making defence and that's all.

I won't dig out any fighter for that, especially Wilder who hasn't earned what other fighters have earned in his position.

Yes, quite frankly Tyson's languishing and
outside the ring crap aside, I think Fury
at his best is better than Wilder or Joshua.
I also think it's too early for this fight for
Fury but if Wilder wins bombs him out
quickly, I'd still be surprised and give him credit

If it ends up being a KO1, I think it would end up decreasing the credit Wilder gets. No way should Fury be that bad.

I really do wish Fury had gotten a few more fights in. It hurts both Wilder and Fury like this. Wilder can't receive full credit, and Fury deserves a better shot.

The entire point of the fight (outside of making $), IMO, is to see if Wilder can catch a guy with good movement. Fury getting KO'd in a round would mean he wasn't moving.

Fury's chin seems solid, so he'd get credit for cracking it, but very little in the way of development and skill.
