Does Wlad ever throw uppercuts?

The guy is much bigger now than 5 years on... and not to mention 10 years ago when he was just a kid. He really looks frightening with all the muscles...

 

I was going to post the vid Widow Maker put up. He has a lot more punches in his arsenal than he uses, he just doesn't use them. Wlad just isn't an entertainer. When he fought with an entertaining style it wasn't to look good, it was to win fights

According to CHEF he was carrying a bicep inury for a few fights, which was fixed in the run up to the Chambers fight

 

Yah Haye definitely isnt the man for this job. haye fights from the outside, he is tailor made for Wlad.

This incoming Sam Peter who looks to be in really good shape is about the only style that can give Wlad any problems. Big pressure and a Big puncher.

I imagine we'll see some uppercuts and more hooks next fight.

Only person i have seen be succesful with uppercuts from the outside.

 

Can you count "THE SMASH" as uppercut?

Then he would get countered and look like an idiot.

Not just anyone can throw uppercuts from the outside and not look foolish or KTFO.

 

Steward has him fighting tall, I havent seen him throw one that I can remember.


Vitali has like a sideways punch that is half uppercut half hook that he uses when he is crouched down a bit inside.

Wlad did throw the occasional uppercut against Tony Thompson and I seem to remember a couple against Rahman too. They weren't as effective as the jab, right hand or left hook though.

 

Lewis was a better inside fighter than Wlad, no question there.

 

Why should the taller fighter give up his height?

 

Yep, I forgot inside uppercuts. He constantly throwing them in Rahman fight.
