i presume this is unlicensed, if so dominic would have small chance as opposed to no chance whatsoever if licensed. despite the sillyness of it all i bet it shifts tickets.
he was alright, could of easily of won a british title with a little more dedication. had a decent and reasonably close scrap with bruce scott who was incredibly tough.
He was a Cruiser, he only got to Southern area Title. He moved up to Heavy to face Audley Harrison. He made is name for deliberately headbutting big A and then later being caught for roids.
Just to compare the Unlicenced circuit with the Pro circuit, Audley Harrison, in his 3rd fight, easily beat Negas, while Negas would later go on to be the best unlicenced HW in the UK.
Danny Williams is just killing himself The guy is fighting regularly after getting stopped so many times Look at James Toney even he's not stupid enough to fight unless its against someone good and he seems more brain damaged than anyone
I ain't seen Danny fight for a long time but noticed his facial expressions seem to be changing now. Lip's dropped a little, Never been the best speaker but think he's starting to sound a bit more punchy. Not as bad as others entering that type of speech.. Negus was a decent boxer, Being a hard man probably suited him better. TV roles, bit of unlicensed and door work/security. Makes a living, Compared to the graft of professional boxing where you sweat your bollocks off for months at a time and see the show pulled and go months/years without fighting. Williams was supposed to of fought Potter in this i think. It's all very sad really. Both looking to be having a hard enough fight with shadow boxing and the pads..
This would have been a decent undercard fight a few years ago on a Saturday Fight Night... It's a real shame that Danny's gone from beating Tyson and challenging Vitali on PPV to this, an unlicensed bout against Dominic Negus at the Troxy. Last time out he looked unsteady standing on the scales at the weigh in, but it's up to him I suppose...
