No it won't effect Stiverne/Wilder. There will be other people taking care of things if King isn't able to show up.

Yeah, doubtful he plays too integral a role in day to day management of the primotion. More like a ffigurehead by now I'd think.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Forget all the despicable things he's done for a moment, it's obvious he's a complete scumbag just by the way he acts. That whole jovial facade he puts on has always been so transparent. It's always been clear to me there's a vile piece of **** lurking behind it.

he also was taking 25% of witherspoons money as a promoter and another 25% as a manager (even though technically Carl King was considered his manager, it was really Don, his son had ZERO say) he also charged witherspoon other fees too, i think one was for training camp and also charged like 25 bucks for towel for example during camp. when they would go through 50 towels in a camp, it adds up.
before king was officially promoting some of the guys, he was considered ....yes, even back then he was the original "ADVISOR" for Mike Tyson when Jim Jacobs had him. he sabotaged all jacobs deals and ultimately pushed him out.
thank don king for the muhammad ali act....witherspoon, who was the champion went over to the UK to fight Bruno.....ended up clearing about 40 grand for his heavyweight title defense......
