Ok, I find it quite unrealistic that Don King will be able to make back the £2,500,000 bid for this contest.

When you consider the relative profiles of both fighters, it is unlikely especially in the United States of America that this fight will generate enough interest to create a big enough return on the ticket sales.

Don King currently does not have a TV deal, so having the show available on a relatively niche app like Fite TV, seems unlikely to draw the 300,000 PPV sales that would be required. Even if Don King was able to convince BT to have this as PPV in the UK, given the time difference, I would be surprised if this sold more than 500 at 4am in the morning.

Overall looking at all the factors, the likelihood of this fight materialising does seem unrealistic.

Don't understand why Dubois is pursuing a a pointless made up "title" against a C level opponent. There's big fights ahead for Dubois but this could waste a long period of his career.

 

Allegedly didn't see that coming. DK showing he can still outwit his old business partner at 95 years old.

What a wonderful trip down memory lane we are going to enjoy! Unrealistic promises, shenanigans, controversy, no actual boxing to distract us from the shenanigans, unlikely locations mooted. It's classic King and with any luck we have years more of this to enjoy. Time enough even for Dubois to learn how to deal with a jab?

Waste of time for Dubois. Be better off fighting the likes of Hammer, Takam etc on BT and actually getting on with his career rather than waiting around for this.

 

Will become like Wicky’s WBU belt and he’ll fight a string of bums in “world title” fights.

 

I don't think it was worth bidding that much for. I can't imagine it selling loads of tickets/PPV. Dubois wins for me.
