MANILA, Philippines – Former world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire made it known that he wants a rematch against undefeated Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux just moments after knocking out Vic Darchinyan in their rematch over the weekend.

It took Donaire nine rounds but was finally able to put Darchinyan away after struggling to connect in the first few rounds of the fight.

In an interview with HBO’s Max Kellerman shortly after the bout, Donaire was asked who was next for him.

“That’s your boy,” Donaire said, referring to Rigondeaux. “You know that’s who I want.”

High risk, low rewards type of fight for Donaire.
He should rematch Rigo. Now that would be interesting.

Looks like Arum is blocking it and wants Donaire to fight Walters instead.

Well if the first two fights are any indication of what happens in a 3rd fight, then thats the best possibility.

I want to see another fight between Donaire and Darchinyan. Donaire provides exciting fights and so does Darchinyan.

Yeah, Darchinyan was doing so much trash talking before the fight. He's into hiding now that Donaire knocked him out again, would love to see them two fight it out again for a triology.

lol wtf....old man Vic must be depressed. He was definitely going to win had he simply stopped engaging so much and ran for 2 rounds

a 3rd match would be overkill

  13. So he can be (Vic) can be put down a third time?

Rigondeaux stated that he would fight Donaire again with conditions. One, being that Donaire weigh no more than 123 at the weigh in, and two, that Donaire be within ten pounds of that at fight time.

Those conditions aren't unreasonable. Donaire looked to outweigh him by 15+ pounds in the ring when he got whooped the first time.
