It's called leverage bro. It means means Donaire has more to lose than Rigo does at this point. You know it's not fair on both sides should the fight happen NOW.

No need to argue about this at least you get my point.
Let Rigo make his name BIG and Donaire should then fight him next :good

If you understand the business of boxing, you'll know what it means.
BTW, I don't think Floyd is a big *****. He just makes a good business though :hat

    Not fair?

How can a fight between two boxers not be fair?

Is one of them wearing wraps? :think

Yeah donaire knows that, nonito fans will argue other wise. Some of these idiots don't understand what rigo calling out the whole division & top 10 means. He can't put a gun to their heads & make em fight him.Arum controls everything & isn't willing to pay the extra bucks to get him better opposition.I feel like if fight ever happens he's setting up Rigo for failure.Understandably so considering nonito is one of his cash cows & p4p.Watch him fail miserably though.Rigo/TR has agreed to 3 fight extension, arum has told the cuban he might get nonito within the next 3 fights which is great if it happens but I take everything arum says with a grain of salt.

nonito may have a minimum of .8 mil/fight deal with TR.

what i think is that the fight against arce is projected by TR to make less than what arce wants and what TR wants as their profit.

with donaire against rigo....if hbo doesn't pay for it, donaire may have to take less than his guaranteed money or rigo may have to agree on purse that's not worthy to make this fight. i don't think nonito or rigo would do that.

rigo doesn't have a large following, nonito is not a big enough attraction, casual fans would not be that interested to go and watch them fight. again, unless hbo backs it up, this fight isn't happening...yet.

If Donaire-Rigo got signed tomorrow, then I'd would celebrate the matchup; however, I have little interest to see it happen.

The fight to make is Donaire-Mares. Everything else at 122lb are undesirable consolation prizes by comparison.

Donaire isn't doing PPV so the TV money will be almost all of the pot along with some gate and ad revenue. This will be the pot the entire card has to be put on with. He probably wanted Arce in Mexico City thinking that would produce a bigger pot. Well, he was probably right but Arce knows that and wants that "extra" for himself since it is him that will be generating it.

Now, what fan base does Rigo bring? You honestly think HBO will put up lots of extra money to make the fight happen? With 10 fights Rigo's exposure is still minimal when it comes to market share so HBO ain't gonna offer a really sweet pot to make it happen. I've said before, the only way Arum lets this fight happen is if it is the exit the division fight for Nonito or Rigo gets to the end of his current contract.

no. floyd has been fighting 4 times for the last 5 years. donaire would be fighting his 4th fight this year if the arce fight pushes through.
