It was a "bad night" for Donaire winning 8 out of the 12 rounds in unanimous decision result... It's not even close... to think Donaire has a "bad night"...:D

Well winning 8 out of 12 rounds with a heavy swollen hand is not bad at all, right?? ;) :D  Considering Donaire was fighting a lightweight on fight night...:D

if anything he showed that all the skills are backed by a solid chin when he took that monster left hook in round 2 right on the button and didn't even buckle.

And Pavlik stopped Taylor...but Taylor beat Hopkins...by your logic, how in the hell was Bernard EVER able to beat Kelly?

this :deal. people were expecting too much given the destruction of donaire of his last opponent.

but when they came in the ring, it was clear as day that concepcion was huge, the commentator even said that he looked liked a tank. and obviously since he came in at 4.5 pounds over the limit.

donaire will get better over time and it was a schooling in my opinion. sure concepcion had his moments but that is given. but to say that he is a fraud is getting out of hand. the guy has been winning consistently whether stoppage or not, a win is a win.

Not sure how much this has been brought up...but people are being WAY too hard on Donaire.

ONE - He still won the fight CLEARLY! I had it 8-4, but you could argue 9-3 easily.
TWO - This was his first fight at this weight class.
THREE - The guy he fought failed his weigh in and was 4.5 pounds over the limit.
FOUR - By fight night, as with most fighters, that 4.5 pounds could have been 10-15 (or 75 if he was Joshua Clottey LOL!).
FIVE - HE STILL WON CLEARLY!!!

No idea why people are up in arms over this performance. He basically fought a LW at SFW...so what if he didnt stop him...so what if he got caught a couple of times. Posters on this site look for any possible excuse to push their opinions...no matter how out of their mind they may be at times.

i don't think nonito donaire is a fraud because he does have some really good skills. it's just that i think he's overrated somewhat and the reason he might have looked so dominant in other fights was because he had a huge height/reach and sometimes weight advantage (fight night of course). i do think he's very good but he'll definitely have problems with the likes of hasegawa, montiel and agbeko.
