Shame....that fight was getting interesting, bit of a hollow victory.

Gotta love Nick Durandt, modern day pirate. haha

that's because doanire has his hands down... that's probably the reason why he switched southpaw to avoid those jabs. Smart fighter he is... :thumbsup

I had it 3-2 Donaire! I'd like to see a rematch within a year. Donaire has much class.

Didnt work that well, in fact thats when Mthulane starting to get the better of him in a lot of exchanges.

If thats a mandatory defense thats bull****, Mthulane deserves another shot.

That was donaire's first fight for a long time... if had stayed active he might have done a better performance. Mthalane was solid fighter though...

    ..

Does anybody know what caused the cut on Mthalane and what the judges scorecards were at the time of the stoppage?

They showed the replay, but donaire never landed anything significant that could have done it.

Cant really judge Donaire on that fight, he just wanted to finish with with the one shot and was looking average in the process which is to be expected sometimes when you take that approach.

I think eventually he would have started figure out that he just needed to work.

Mthulane had skills but seemed to be a little intimidated when Donaire put combos together.

Hopefully Mthalane gets another shot soon.

i think donaire hurt his right hand. That;s why he was turning southpaw.
