Bit dissapointed by Donaire's performance. Not what I expected, but then again he just came off from almost a year lay off. So I don't think I'd judge him too much in this fight. Lets see his performance against Arce(hopefully) next.

Yeah I saw that too. He was in serious pain when his dad tried to take off the glove. But wasn't it his left hand that was hurting?
Nonito and his old man practiced that southpaw stance in the public workout. I don't know if he hurt his right hand in training? But from what I saw in the public workout clip they were switching southpaw.. i think he got more power in his left than his right anyway..left caused the cut. 1 year off could cause rust and his opponent is no joke ...Overall not the best of performance for top rank standards.
I actually thought Mthalane became less effective when Donaire switched to southpaw especially in the last round. He was missing a lot of shots and his jab was not connecting unlike when Donaire was in an orthodox stance. Because when Donaire was orthodox, Mthalane was hitting him with alot of shots especially that jab of his. But when Nonito turned Lefty, it seemed like Mthalane got confused and couldn't land as much as before.
cut was on the eyelid caused by a right straight. very dangerous cut so the fight was stopped. this was donaire's first fight in about a year. could've been ring rust but his opponent was also very good and had a very tight D.
