I wish the Arce fight happens, 1 less fighter to be included in Nonito's list of possible fights. If he doesn't fight Arce in December, it's still a possibility it happens in 2013.

Donaire will fight the winner of Mares vs Moreno.

I'm not crazy about this fight because Donaire is probably going to roll over Arce. But if it was only two months after Donaire's last fight and his fourth fight for the year than I didn't mind it in that context.

Instead we'll get Donaire fighting 2 or 3 times max next year and he's going to use one up on a pretty faded Arce. So as a "bonus" fourth fight this year (something few top fighters do) this fight was fine but when he's only fighting 2-3 times a year he doesn't need one-sided options.

Yeah, it was basically a cash out fight if it happened in December. Now it is likely to turn into a "after he fights Arce" situation next year, though. That is the only loss here.

    Why?

Anyway Arce should rematch that rican

  8. Donaire tweeted right after the Nishioka fight that he's definitely taking the rest of the year off due to his hand injury.

Is it too hard to comprehend that Mares vs Donaire is not happening because of TR/GBP?

As soon as I heard the rumour about Donaire/Arce I started having flash backs to the night Vic left Arce tore up from the floor up! Donaire might kill him. This fight was a really bad idea from jump street. Glad it's off.

I hope he declines if it's going to be in Mexico.

I'm laughing at the people who seem legitimately upset that this horrid mismatch isn't happening.

I don't see why Mexico City is a big deal. It's not like this fight would see seven rounds.
