115-0112 Vazquez, I didn't see Donaire being very effective and Vazquez's jab right were landing on him all day, as hell as his superior workrate to the body when they were on the inside. If Vazquez had more pop Donaire would have been KO'd last night. He ate a lot of straight rights, especially when his left grazed Vazquez and in the 4th. He ran in to finish him and Vazquez blocked all his work or slipped most of it and landed hard counter rights on him that buckled his legs, which HBO ignored.

Then the getting repeatedly tagged with rights, left hooks, and jabs shouldn't count because he wanted to get hit with them, bull****.

Nah, he was slipping the jab was landing some mean uppercuts and right hands.

Re-watching that fight Vasquez only won 2 rounds the 1st and the 6th solely just based on his work rate, but Donaire was putting a whooping on him.

In boxing you begin with the jab. It´s a boxers best weapon or at least it should be.

He didn't whoop ****, he was largely ineffective, sloppy, and 1 dimensional in a wild attack. Once Vazquez got his timing down and used his jab to disrupt him, Donaire got scared and started doing all the lunging **** to try to take him out, most of it missing.

I loved the he isn't getting hit he is rolling them, then why was his face ****ed up?

damn good point, never thought of that. I always thought Donaire could counter Rigo's super lazy thing he calls his jab with a left hook over top, but I think Rigo does that trying to bait you a little.

He could do that to draw Donaire's loaded up left hook counter and then boom, Rigo beats him there with his straight left

Indeed. I was a little "disturbed" at how easy and often Donaire was gettin' popped straight in the kisser last night.

Vasquez was blocking almost everything Donaire was doing after the first couple rounds too.

Yes, Euro-level is fighting in a stiff, stand-up stance while true world-class is being able to utilize full set of movement.

yep flick the jab out to check Nonitoe's left hand then blast off with a left that connects before he can land his left hook counter

we even had youtube videos down to the exact moment where Floyd/Juan used this trick on Zab/emmanuel

drawing out the opponent's counter hook to counter it is a great technique to use against someone in the opposite stance:yep
