i agree with this. Lloyd was simply too powerful for Donald. Don was great but like they say, there's always someone out there whose got your number

I eally dont see Tommy stopping Donald. his defense was way too tight. a points win for Hearns is the most likely scenario.

I remember Don's career long trainer Paul Reyes aying he was convinced Don had his own radar system going He knew a punch was coming before the guy threw it.
Saccharin ray. Leonard, only one sugar ray for me, who was supposedly advising Don, convinced him to wait. Leonard was secretly negociating a comeback fight with Hagler himself all the time

What people also don't realize is that Donald Curry, contrary to what his birth certificate may indicate, wasn't actually a grown man, and thus shouldn't be held to the same standard that most adults are - and any decisions that may have hampered his career is entirely the fault of somebody else and not his own.

Hearns... because he was better. He had the ability to outbox and overpower Curry. He'd be able to handle Curry's shots... not so sure Curry could handle his though.

Curry didn't have the best chin going, and Thomas would take advantage of that situation, scoring a 3rd round knockout.

I see Hearns baiting him early, and Curry had this bad habit of leaping forward with his shots, which he would most likely have to do against the taller, rangier Hearns. He'd overcommit at some point, and Hearns would take him to task for it.

    Hearns by stoppage.

I love this post and I dig this matchup, Im a huge fan of both these great fighters, but I believe Curry had the wrong kinda style for Tommy, I think Hearns jumps on him early uses his range with his jab and drops that furious right hand of his consistency...I say Hearns KO within 8...maybe earlier, depends on how much punishment Donald could have taken...
