Ward is much more skilled and a much smarter fighter, seems to be an overall much more mature person also. However you cant over looked that Dirrell has alot more hand speed and just as good if not better reflexes.

Ward has already advanced where as Dirrell NEEDS this fight.

My Prediction....Dirrell SD. Ward will not handle him as easy as Kessler and greene.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dirrell won. It's one of the hardest fights to pick a winner, but I see Ward winning a close but clear decision.

Ward will win this fight on superior technical skills and determination. He is so much more mentally strong than dirrell

I doubt Ward will ease off just because he's already advanced. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Dirrell beat him. I think a lot is riding on where the fight is.

I don't think Dirrell will be more motivated than Ward, Ward will be defending his title, and anyway he seems to have the quality of getting up for the fight under any circumstance. Dirrell will be stylistically difficult for Ward, because he's stylistically difficult for anybody, but i just think Ward has more in his toolbox and wins a decision.

Ward wants his title but at the same time Dirrell needs a title and needs a win to advance in the tournament.

Dirrell had a very tough line up.... He had to take his first step up in class against an undefeated Froch in his hometown, then had to face Abraham and now has to face Ward who is the new favorite to win this tournament...He has not done that bad so far, I never though he would be able to do what he did to Abraham.

I sure hope Dirrell beats him, and lays down a blueprint how to in the process.
Who want's Ward topping the 168 ranks for a while, his tactic works (at least against a very poor Green) but it's ugly and boring.
In the tread last night I read some poster calling Ward a poor mans B-Hop. I agree, and I even saw Ruiz flashes coming by.
So, I hope boxing wins it, and I think it will. If Dirrell fights like he did against Abraham, and shows his 'slickster' moves to preven Ward from tying him up I see him win easy.

    Nope.

he may be slightly faster but not a lot.

This is the most interesting and probably the most important third round match-up.

I think every one is overrating Dirrell just a little bit. True he got the better of Froch and Abraham in those fights but he faded badly at times in both, and looked later on in the fight that he was there to hit. If he can maintain his speed and slickness throughout the fight, then he has a good chance against Ward. But from what i've seen of him, im not sure.

Dirrell is going to beat ward. I believe Dirrell's speed will give ward a lot of trouble. Dirrell will be capitalizing on Ward's errors in this fight.

Ward is such a boring, not too mention dirty, fighter that he is just insanely frustrating to watch. I hope he disappears even further up his own ass soon preferably with the aid of a punch from Dirrell or Abraham!

Ward will beat Dirrell. Anwyay, forget this fight. What's the latest on Abraham v Froch? Someone's skull is getting smashed open and I think it might be Froch's.
