Gennady would be willing to fight Cotto at a catch weight tomorow if asked. I you realized I just owned you with the Kovalev situation. If he fights this year and it shapes out to be Murray, Monroe, Lemiux, and Cotto, wouldn't you be happy?

Lara isn't the name Quillin is, you're right, he is a MUCH BIGGER one who is more known and infinitely more respected and higher thought of.

Exactly, I don't understand the hate being directed to Golovkin.

I can't understand how anyone is defending this GGG or his idiotic management team??

I have the perfect example- the perfect fighter to compare GGG with. He was also a long standing dominant amateur and he's also the SAME age as GGG now.

His name is Rigondeaux. You know the same guy who's avoided by EVERYONE so he TRAVELS to his oppositions backyard to fight them??

You know, the guy who in his 11th fight took on a top 5 recognized P4P fighter in DOnaire and put on a clinic at Radio City Music Hall??

Funny this is, Rigo has half the pro fights GGG does and he's done exponentially so much more than GGG has up to this point professionally.

Now that's a guy who's on a trajectory to greatness. He's willing to fight ANYONE NOW, not in a year or 2 (aka GGG with Ward,) but right this second.

I wouldn't doubt him going up to 126 in the next year and taking on Loma. Because Rigo is that kind of boss.

Lara beat Canelo IMO, but more view him as a Rigo type bore fest, which I actually don't mind. BTW I'm from Queens, not East Side Manhattan. Again Lara fights on Showtime like Quillen does.

Come on man, you know Cotto won't fight him.

Didn't he have a CW title fight against Sergio??? DO you honestly see him taking on anyone at MW that'll pose a serious threat to him? Let alone someone like Gennady who could beat him into retirement.

I'm not dogging Gennady the fighter, I think the guy is sensational and has such a crowd pleasing style. But this hype he gets doesn't correlate with the type of fighters he's selecting to take on.

Murray was a very good fight for him, easily the strongest opponent to date. But he shouldn't be going backwards like this though with a fight against Monroe. Screw these stay busy fights, he has over 30 pro fights already, he can start fighting the same way everyone else does- take on 2-3 QUALITY OPPONENTS ANNUALLY. Not 1 pretty good fighter and 3 no name, garbage tier guys.

If he really dares to be great, go up and meet Ward. That'll really be the best barometer for him to gauge himself and his greatness.

Like Quillen, Lara fights on Showtime. So if Lara comes to HBO, that fight can be arranged, especailly since Golovkin is willing to fight anyone at this point.

Actually Golovkin is willing to fight Froch in UK or Canelo or JR in Mexico - Forum would have been JR's home field at the time as well. Ward/Virgil said they want tuneups before GGG, not K2.

I agree Rigo is getting hosed, somewhat undeservedly, and I definately agree he is being ducked. Oscar went to extreme lengths to make the LSC fight.. only for Haymon to buy out his fight rights. Just like Haymon will keep Lara, Jacobs and Quillin away from GGG. Place blame where its due.

Ward actually is the one guy they wont want to fight IMO, because they feel that he's the greatest risk Triple G has of losing with making a limited amount of money. Ward is one fighter I rank above Triple G as my favorite fighters. I honestly don't think though Ward wants that fight NOW, he wants a couple of tune ups first. But when those tune ups are over Ward should demand a fight with Triple G.

    No more so than GGG.

How many offers has GGG made?

Tom Loeffler has gone on the record as to saying he would make major concessions to Cotto, but Cotto still wont address him after Triple G has repeadly called him out in public. Cotto will probably not fight him and relinquish the belt like the coward he is.

As for as Joe is concerned, the Brits didn't demand him to fight the best fighters at SMW or MW, so he could retire undefeated at only age 36.

before Kessler and lacy, joes best opposition was superveit, an unashamed king of 4-6 rounders. defending against someon of such paucity was criminal.

joe was also brave enough to face near elite Richie woodhall... once woodhall was crippled with a back injury and about to retire.

    So no offers then?

As far as Joe is concerned, he fought the best SMW's at the time in Lacy and Kessler to become the #1 SMW in the world.

for only two minutes, since he never defended that status and refused to rematch uninjured Kessler.

but props for beating puppet champ lacy, and injured Kessler with his Cardiff judges/ref.

For Gods sake you racist idiot. He just whitewashed and stopped
a top 5 RING middleweight who EVERYONE, including you, said
would give him problems. The only problem Murray gave GGG
was sore hands from having his face pounded by the Champ.
Give it a rest, you homeboys sound really pathetic.
