Jeff Horn victory over Pacquiao is in the running for International Event of
the Year at the Stadium Business Awards. Horn fight drew a live crowd

Aus Commonwealth Games Update.
Logan 81 kg Clay Waterman has just returned from Colorado Springs . Clay
was part of a Aussie contingent training at the USA Air Force Boxing Academy in the Rocky Mountains. Clay took the opportunity to train with Terence Crawford who uses the high attitude facilities to improve his fitness.
Clay has been a elite fighter since he made Aus boxing history in Kazakhstan at 15 becoming the first Aust to win any gold medal at any world am boxing championship. Members of the Aus team spent 3 weeks in the mountains training and Clay said it took a week to get use to the breathing the thinner air at the 1840 m attitude.

I might add. Clay sparred with Crawford . They sparred 4 min rds with 30 sec break.
Clay " Sparring with Terence a real education. And he is super fit , slick and a great all rounder. A lot of people think Terence is small but i'm 81 kg and he looked as big as me. "

SMW - WBC no 13 Jayden Mitchell ko Ariel Zampredi.
MW - Perth Wes Capper had a draw with Sam Soliman.
Bantamweight Cherenka Johnson stopped her Thai opponent in 4 rds. She is now 9 -0 4 ko.

Hard hitting SMW Bilal Akkawy WBA no 12 and IBF no 14 has been invited to join Alvarez camp in San Diego as a sparring partner for his preparation for Golovokin fight. His manager Ahmed said " Bilal possessed exactly
what Alvarez sought in a sparring partner. " LW George Kambsos was sparring partner for Pacquaio for Horn fight and the invaluable exp he gained substantially benefited his development as a fighter. Bilal will be in San Diego for 6 weeks.

It good to see him heading to the States to get top quality coaching and sparing, Australia just can not compete..

I would like Horn to be doing the same thing..

Big Daddy was a huge disappointment but not a total surprise given his prep seems to be pretty **** and some of the stuff he was going on about was a red flag tbh...

A good loss would have helped him as he could have got stuck into the Matchroom shows on the undercards earning some coin but a pathetic showing and highlight reel show ko loss will pretty much end that..
