Vitali could have nbeen a bad matchup for Big George. Nobody but nobody...among heavyweights anyway, tops VK's chin. This and his size and awkward defense would have served him very well. If George cut Vitali like Lewis did, he would have a chance then.

One thing is for sure, 70's Foreman isn't big or strong enough to man handle Vitali, and 90's Foreman is too slow to do much other than get punched. Vitali quite comfortably either by wide UD or late stoppage.

With his durability and awkward style of chipping away, Vitali might just be able to carve out a victory. The likelihood of this however is in the 30/70 region.

A prime Foreman is going to close and make the big man uncomfortable in a way that no other opponent, quite frankly, was capable of. To think that Samuel Peter was once compared to Foreman...different species. Movement is not going to have a say here, it didn't with a much slicker (discreet) Muhammad Ali. It was Ali's well-rounded game that allowed him to grind out a victory; holding behind the head, zapping the right lead, avoiding head shots.

Vitali avoided shots by teetering his long frame away from strained efforts. Foreman will not have an issue eliminating that meddling distance. He will not be held by indecision. He will walk Vitali off balance.

And so what of the Ukrainian's jaw? An excellent one. Top tier? Perhaps. It certainly wasn't tested like some of the men he is put alongside; Chuvalo, Cobb, McCall. The lone time he was stuck with any kind of regularity was against a sloppy Lennox Lewis, and he was getting bust up.

The spent George we recall against Ali had punched himself into in a very resistant and intricate web. Vitali very well may have the resistance, but as those demolition hooks and uppercuts swoop in will he have enough to, not only ride the danger, but pay it back in full?

It feels like an overshoot. The giant is battered.

Both are slow. They are 6, 7 6,8. They dont move like ali or tyson or hollyfield or holmes . The robotic just like big george is. The stand and pop that jab and try to land the big right hand

Yet, it IS popular opinion among his sparring partners, opponents and trainers.

How can any even casual observer not notice this?

    Ted Spoon has nailed this.

    Slashing pressure discombobulates Vitali here.

Vitali was much bigger? Foreman in the 70s without Training weights etc weighed 232 pounds. Vitali in his best
Moment weighed 240 pounds, foreman had no problem with big guys like jack for example WHO was 6'6

VK was no bigger than Foreman...:-(

They both had a 79 inch reach..

Prime VK weighed in around 245, Foreman around 240, 5 lbs is a steak dinner, with 2 or 3 beers...

VK is 6-7, George is 6-4, 3 inch whoop dee doo that's shorter than my index finger..

Foreman had an advantage in bulk and physical strength, and toughness, VK quit against Byrd when he got a shoulder boo boo, Foreman fought with broken bones against much tougher competition i may add...

Hell the guy's George fought and beat would have beaten the life out of VK'S opponents...

Jeez the junior Klitchko has beaten better fighters than his older Brother...:deal
