First fight I've seen from Santos and he impressed me well, Drayton didn't do much in this one but still ended up coming out with the winning decision... Somehow. I am a big fan of Buster but he did not deserve this decision or the belt imo, he had decent rounds spread across the fight (mostly near the end when Santos slowed down a little) but they typically didn't amount to much more than a close round or Carlos stepping back a bit. Santos outlanded him, stuck to his game plan, and fought about as consistent as possible (this man was still dancing after 15 rounds!) but got a bum decision from what I'm assuming is his lack of popularity/an unappealing style in the eyes of the judges/fans. Clancy and Hagler got on my nerves a bit saying that Carlos needed to "be more aggressive" nearing the end, despite the fact that he won 80% of the rounds while Drayton was just kind of plodding around looking for a place to land a right hand. Would've made him a 2x IBF champ at this weight and led into potential fights with challengers like Moore, Skouma, and Hilton. Not as entertaining a fight as you might usually see with Drayton, but I enjoyed seeing Santos outpoint Buster. This content is protected
