Yeah, Bunces boxing hour was actually quite good last night for a change and it's always good to see wee Duke back on TV even in these circumstances. I think we should be seeing Duke more often on tv these days especially with all the coverage boxing is getting.
Also Dukes Talksport interview the other week was excellent.

I don't know why Boxnation don't have Duke commentating anymore? As i remember he did the Chisora-Helenius fight at the start.
To be honest i think he's a lot better than Barrie Jones. IMO Jones sits on the fence too much, says the obvious things and comes across fake, especially when he puts on that pretend laughter.
Give me Duke McKenzie over Barrie Jones any day of the week.

There's a Hatton one as well - I thought Duke came across a lot better.

Comes across very articulate and calls a fight superbly. Way underused on the box for sure and would love to see him on more.

He used to be on telly far more often years ago - in the years immediately after he retired.

I guess the death of boxing on terrestrial TV clobbered that?

Well he could still make an appearance on Channel Five but he's a step down from Al Bernstein.

    A gentleman and a scholar.
A very capable fighter in his day,and a knowledgable and well spoken pundit/commentator.
A great ambassador for the sport.
