well to be fair I had a good seat in the )2 and I didnt actually see the initial knockdown. It was only when it was replayed I could see it. I dont think the commentators were claiming it was a slip or there was no punch, more so the fact that they genuinely didnt see the punch it was so quick...

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at Magee's commentary. During the Lee-Gibbs fight, instead of saying the usual, "Lee is wearing the red shorts with gold trim while Gibbs has the all black shorts", he decides to say, "in case you didn't know, Lee is the white fella and gibbs is of a darker shade" He's got loads of other little gems.

Dunne took a big gamble and unfortunately it didn't pay off for him. Anyone could see that his chin is shaky at best. He was dragged into a war and he tried his best to fight his way out like he did against Cordoba. But no such luck this time. I'd say he'll come back at feather and try for the EBU belt or something. He, along with his team, must know that he can't compete with the top fighters at 122. His time there is done.

it was a decent enough fight while it lasted.good boxing skills in the first round then...seemed to just throw punches with little intention. also anyone notice how poon guard was tight and stiff in the early going then seemed much more relaxed later on. also his workrate increased dramaticly.
but that left hook on the 2nd knockdown sickened me. really cringing the way his arm was rasing mid way. times like these i am happy not being a pro boxer.

Let's just be glad he's not seriously hurt. It was alarming how badly he went down - the last KD was sickening.

'I didn't see what happened there whether it was a punch, a slip.....'

Worst commentary ever. Do they think the country will so upset that they will lie to them? Ridiculous.

Ever KD was heavy.........not nice to see. This will happen to Khan eventually.

It happened very quickly and in the moment I think it was hard to tell. A lot of people didn't see the punch. I think your over reacting there to be honest. It's not as if the analysts said it post fight! It was commentators on the spur of the moment. I think your expecting the professionalism of an analyst, which is not the commentators job. By they way, it was free, on terrestial tv. I cant imagine how fussy you would be on a ppv channel like HBO.

Whenever he made a statement about colour he would tag on "and thats not racist", when someone uses that phrase it generally means that it is...pure gold, and as funny as ****

He looked absolutely dead in there - needs to move up in weight badly.

Fought the wrong fight and got punished.

    Simple as that.

Fellas, Dunne go to Featherweight??? I know he looked drained at 122 but either way the dude has a weak chin. How the hell is he gona be a success at 126?? There are heavy punchers there also. Let me guess you Dunne Huggers are gona claim he can beat Chris John, Gamboa, Cruz, Luevano, Juarez etc etc. Lets face it the guy is European level at best, all respect for him for claiming a part WBA strap but that fight was a life and death struggle. He put everything into that fight to take the strap. He aint got nothing left. Poon ****ing killed him in there, Dunne looked seriously hurt. That secong knockdown was brutal, he went down like a ragdoll. He dont have the chin or punching power to be a World Level operator.
Dunne is a little warrior for trying to go toe to toe with Poon, much respect but bottom line isn't World Class!

He must have earned a fair bit. Not millions, but surely enough to buy a house? If I was him I'd retire. He will never be anything other than a decent, but not great, European level fighter and he could get seriously hurt.

I reckon he earned about 200,000 for each of his last 2 fights and probably 300,000 for the rest of his fights combined. Thats not bad going all the same. There is still fights out there for him to take, although his chin is a major major worry. Maybe featherweight is the best option!

Nope he's earned nowhere near that. He got less than €80,000 for Cordoba and I'd be very sure he got less than €150,000 for this fight.

So what if he can't be a force at World level at Featherweight, it's not as if being European champion means nothing.
