https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRVCyT6_qZM&list=UUBcFoQPB7137UekX118Db0A I have to admit, I followed DeGale's career after this loss to Groves only loosely and didn't expect him to ever become relevant at 168 as he kept fighting backyard fights against noname opposition. Obviously, the Groves fight was close and a lot of people scored it in favour of James but I genuinely expected DeGale to walk over anyone not named Ward, Froch, Kessler or Dirrell and that didn't happen. When Groves went on to lose to an old Froch (and not looking so great in the rematch), I came to realization that DeGale basically lost to a B minus tier SMW. However, according to Dwyer he has improved significantly lately and would supposedly handily beat Froch. That's what he says. I'm still to look up his last fight against Periban in which he apparently fared very well but what's your opinion on him? Is it worth following his career at this point? Is Froch gonna fight him?
Wow, I need to watch those fights ASAP then. I liked DeGale too but then wrote him off as a hypejob. I probably expected too much too fast from him.
I like DeGale, but i think with a new coach it would only be a question of time before he came a world champion. Imagine DeGale with Roach. I still need to see Degale against world class opponents, before i can judge him of whether he can become world champion, the main man in the division or P4P.
