dwyer thinks valuev will beat haye

Valuev is ****ing horrible, I would be surprised if Haye struggles against this guy...

 

One could argue though with Haye's undeniable speed and skills he should NEVER even have hit the floor against the opposition he has been fighting. The problem is he is trying to play games in the ring and invites his opponent to open up and SO FAR has always been able to get up, in the few fights he had. He has only 23 fights.

How long before some guy comes along that knocks him out cold when Haye let's his hands hang?

Haye is taking unnecessary risks just so he can look "cool". That kinda **** flies with YouTube teenagers but doesn't get you on a long-term winning streak in professional boxing.

After watching Solis blowng away Barrett, I'm not so sure about Haye's chances anymore. Also how Afolabi, a guy with no power KTFO Maccarinelli and Barrett and Mormeck dropping Haye, I really have my doubts. Dwyer is about 70% accurate and he certainly has some points altough he's ignoring Haye's handspeed and pretty effective overhand right that could land all night if Valuev is not alert. But Haye has serious balance, chin, and possibly stamina issues with Valuev having a pretty good chin, a huge weight advantage and hard to hit.

 

I'd say it's excellent.

 

There's the real hypocrisy in boxing (not a dig at you mate).

If a guy goes for the win by playing the odds, as a pro should (like Lewis was prone to do) - then they get **** hung on them for being boring, cautious fighters and why would anyone want to watch that?

If they go balls out and try and be exciting , and lose - then they get **** hung on them for trying to be cool, having no boxing brains and being reckless.

If boxing fans want excitement, they need to accept that the exciting fighters that go all out are more likely to lose than smart fighters that play the odds, and judge them accordingly.


(Personally I think a fighter fights to win, and should fight in the manner that gives them best chance to win. Professional sport is about winning IMO. Anything else should be filed under 'exhibition')

 

olyfield gave the blue print on how to beat the Wookie ..All Haye he has to do is immulate the same game plan ..

 

Nik just has a really solid skull. You'll note in this 3-D view that his chin is attached to a really massive jaw bone that is particularly well structured for his size.
