Dzinziruk vs. Wolak in talks for August/September on HBO

Wolak TKO by 8 round.

 

I had seen Wolak a time or two and wasn't overly impressed but knew he rugged and would come to fight. The win over Foreman has to make his stock rise because Foreman was a solid fighter. Foreman and Dzinziruk are both boxer types but are different types of boxers. Dzinziruk besides having that good jab is stronger, sturdier and has more pop than Foreman. Credit to Wolak for upsetting Foreman but I would be very suprised if he made it two in a row here.

 

Exactly. You pretty much always know what you're getting from him; the x-factor is how the opponent handles what he brings to the table.

It's interesting that he can impress on the big stage on PPV and upset a name fighter in Foreman, just over a year removed from having to dig down deep to put away Nascimento (with half the rowdy New Yawker crowd in the MSG Theater screaming "Come on!!! Stop this bum, wtf????" including a very young-looking blonde girl sitting next to me who kept shrieking "PAWEEEEEEEEEEEEL! WHAT THE ****? DO IT, PAWEEEEEEEL!" - definitely someone who knows him given how emotionally vested she was, but hopefully it's a niece and not a romantic interest because again...very young )

He did look a bit tighter, but it's still more or less the same style. Some just can't handle that style...but those who can, or can adapt to it and make adjustments on the fly, will just not find Wolak that difficult as he doesn't have other dimensions to fall back on.

 

Agreed, but Wolak will be coming all night.. Dzinziruk will earn a tough decision..

 

Agreed. I saw Wolak against Smith and Pinzon and he seemed like you know what you are getting with him. Smith is a solid fighter with good defense and he got the win while Pinzon was in front of Wolak and got beaten, but he put up a fight.

I haven't seen the Foreman fight to see if he made big improvements but I doubt he's changed much. He can put pressure on Dzinziruk, and make him SD work for his win, but SD has the range, jab, chin, and enough power to deal with Wolak's pressure. I think its a nice action fight but I like SD nicely in this.

 

Wolak doesn't have one punch knockuot power so basically most of his KOs are from accumulation of punches and his opponents rather quits than are in fact unable to continue. So if you expected Wolak to blow out Nascimento in two rounds then he is not that type of fighter.

zinziruk is better than ishe smith who schooled wollack, plus he hits harder than that last bum who dropped wollack.

 

If you're not willing to work your ass off for 12 rounds, Wolak will kill you, I don't care how skilled you are. Wolak is a will breaker. He is relentless no matter what happens.

 

See the Foreman fight. Wolak brutalized Yuri from round 1. A good majority (I would say 80% at least) of posters here said Wolak would lose every round. Well, Wolak actually won every single round.

 

Nice win there for Wolak. I thought Foreman would win most of the rounds but Wolak broke him down.

 

As with every Wolak fight he will be the less skilled man but his opponent better be prepared to have someone in his face for every second of the fight for however long it lasts.

And that line is exactly it.

On any given night he can upset alot of better fighters/boxers or he could be easy to pick apart.

He started Boxing a little bit late and only had 50 amateur fights.He initially wanted to get into MMA so he took up Boxing to improve his stand-up game but fell in love with Boxing instead.
