I don't know what was worse, the purported slick style or the shitty HBO telecast trying mind **** people into thinking it was a good fight?

No. He was just never slick to begin with, and I dont want to sound pretentious, but I've been saying it since before! the Kotelnik fight.

 You're another one to add to the giant list of clueless assclown know-nothings (zakman, rico whatever, etc) that populate this board and expose in every post the fact that they've never even been in a gym in their lives. "Slick" boxing is all about timing and movement of both your head and your feet in a super coordinated way and takes a tremendous amount of practice to learn and a huge amount of natural ability to be a top pro. Seriously, how much boxing have you even seen?

would you consider the zab judah chicken dance slick ?

the problem with slick boxers is that once they get hit hard they get off balance easily..... because they are toying with their opponents......only few gifted fighters are great in being slick

being slick boxer comes with athleticism........

Look at Williams knocking Martinez down. Its a good example. Roy Jones was once knocked down before the Tarver fight and he was so off balance it ****ed him up good. Looked like Zab Judah for a moment.

I agree, but really its the style that yo feel most comfortable with. Style wise a good brawler can give a good slick fighter the most problems. Early Duran, prime Rosendo Alvarez, and Castillo
upset the best slick boxers of their time.

The slick style is hard to master but anyone can pretend. It is also not the best style.

The boxer/puncher style is the most effective style as it has filled the ATG lists with fighters who practised it.

i agree brawling is the easiest ...... some brawlers have no defense and are flat footed .... if you wanna try this style you better take what you can dish out....you have to be tenacious and resilient .....you have to have a granite chin and solid body....or better play checkers not boxing if you don't have it

Alexander's slick style was exposed when he finally stepped up to fight a Euro level fighter
