There's a strong chance Eddie still might be the #1 US heavy, or at least close to if it if he's motivated, and if his dead is screwed on properly.

He's been "training" with the Fury's, what else do you expect?

Still?? Pfff....he lost that position YEARS ago.

Eddie has a big ego. Mchunu took his heart. Eddie is afraid of looking bad again.

Fights a 31-1 Calvin Brock and 14-0 Povetkin back-to-back in late 2007-early 2008, a 30-2 Samuel Peter, 29-0 Alexander Povetkin, and a 53-3 Wlad Klitschko back-to-back in 2009-2010. Loses to Wlad via brutal KO and comes back against a 25-2 Derric Rossy, 45-2 Thomas Adamek, and then makes his CW debut against a 13-1 Thabiso Mchunu and then after losing that one comes back the following year against a 9-45-6 Tomas Mrazek, a 5-39-4 Moses Matovu, 10-7 Carl Baker, 17-6 Marcelo Luiz Nascimento, 8-3 Dorian Darch, and a 43-31-1 who is 2-9 in his last 11,7 of those 11 loses coming via stoppage. Bizarre.

Chambers is a really good fighter and there was no need for such a steep drop off in the level of opposition he's been facing of late. The only loses he's incurred during his career have been against top quality operators like Wlad and Povetkin, a controversial one against another quality guy in Adamek which most people felt he won, and the most recent one against Mchunu who is clearly very talented too. I very much doubt he's the one to blame for the drop off in comp. He can mix it up with virtually everyone at HW so it is very puzzling why he's been facing all these stiffs lately.

Yeah. The loss to Mchunu completely ripped out his soul.

Jennings I like against him the most.... TT is getting too old, Chambers is too slick to get caught by anything Tarver has, he'd outwork him.

Chambers actually did a pretty candid interview back in February where he acknowledged that he would love to fight Tarver but probably isn't on his radar as he isn't a lucrative enough dance partner (since Tarver is hunting six or seven figure paydays with his remaining time) for the risk to be worth the reward.

He has fought much better opposition than Wilder and that's for sure. How did Wilder get ranked $1 WBC without fighting anyone ranked? Wilder has not fought his mandatory either......................yet Stiverne had to, double standard.........................

    Not recently, Farmy.

Chambers' last six opponents are barely any better than Wilder's first six. (and honestly on a par with his 7th-12th fights...)
