We all can see how fast, dynamic, and smooth Edward Chambers is. we can also see how he can handle big hard punching bufoons. I can also think of one such buffoon that he'd beat, and his name is Joe Louis. The brown bomber is not beating fast Eddie, no matter how we cut it.

He would also beat Muhammad Ali unless he gets robbed. Chambers is a bad match-up for Ali stylistically, he fights exactly like Jimmy Young.

Wow, you can get your ass beat by a defensively flawed, underpowered Russian, but come back and beat a defensively flawed, powder puff Ukranian and be considered competitive with the greatest heavy of all time.

Chambers has a lot more to prove before a thread like this can be taken seriously. To date he has fought three top ten level opponents. Chambers best wins are over Peter, and Dimitrenko. He lost a close decsion to Povetkin. I think we need to see a lot more on fast Eddie before putting him in with all time greats.

Having said that, Chambers has the type of speed and defense that gave Louis fits. I don't think Chambers would fight stupid and get caught like Conn. I also think he a better chin than say Walcott.

Yeah, I'm real iffy on whether Joe Louis is as great a H2H threat as Alexander Povetkin. :patsch

Didn't you really mean to put this thread in the General Forum, and not the Classic Forum? You see, Woddy, the moronic level of this thread would be perfectly acceptable to the General Forum. You need to be there.
