That was speculative. He's saying losing to Vitali and then Eddie (two consecutive losses) would be a major setback, hence why Peter is 'fighting for his career'.

Could be but dont bet on it. Chambers is not a defensive master like Byrd and Peter throws more than five punches around unlike Tua.

Barret was much better choice of opponent, than ancient Mercer.

lets all remember the main reason why peter looked like utter crap against Vitali is because of Vitali. Eddie is slick for hw, but he still got hit and lost to Povetkin. The question is does Peter have enough power to make the few punches he lands count? Does Eddie have a good enough chin to hold up to them if he does get caught flush? Despite Toney being slick himself, he got tagged, though Toney held up cause he has a tank of a chin.

I think people are remembering Peter for how he looked against the big men (Vitali, Wlad, McCline). lets remember Eddie ain't one of the big men.

Name a better pure boxer than Chambers whose jab Peter has neutralized to triumphant effect.

This fight is so intriguing. It will answer quite a few questions about both fighters.

    1) Is Sam Peter capable of knocking out a very good counterpuncher with a good defense.
    2) Is Eddie Chambers capable of letting his hands go against a fighter that has a good offense.

    Very intriguing indeed!!

Sam Peter ought to have Paris Hilton lead him to Ringside the way Miss Elizabeth used to lead Macho Man back in the day.

Your saying Chambers will be tired in the later rounds.. im pretty sure Sam will be exhausted by then !
His performance against Vitali was complete **** !

Why Sam and not Eddie? Does EC not fit your strong black athlete alpha male fantasy profile?

I don't expect Chambers to tire the way he did against Povetkin.Povetkin is a volume punching pressure fighter where Peter is a plodding barrel of dung.Chambers will counter and move all night and stroll to an easy UD
