If this is true, that's incredible, even to show his face, considering the acrimony between the two after Eddie decided to sit on the sidelines rather than chose his side against Michael Spinks. (Ali and Frazier were angry that the attention they attracted at Marciano's funeral detracted from who was supposed to be the focus of that event. Taking this into consideration, maybe to just show a face expresses greater respect than a high visibility presence which distracts the mourners.) Disturbing if Joe Frazier wasn't there, as he was the only fighter who spent his entire career with Futch. (Did he begrudge Eddie's decisions to stop Foreman II and Manila?)

Good. (I thought I'd already read the complete thread, but I somehow missed that blurb.)

When i met him at the WBHOF i enjoyed good talks with Eddie. He was with a young blond who i think was his wife. Question to his family member was his wife right?

I'm glad that at least Joe attended, I would have expected him too.

    Wasting your time ?
Is that good quality time you could be spending in front of your mirror?

You start a thread, then trash it with silly personal attacks, your body might be pumped, but your brain , and emotions have some serious catching up to do.

I made an off the cuff remark ,which ,if you looked, I withdrew when I saw Futch's Grandson was on here.

I recall your personal attacks on Jack Dempsey where you confidently stated he worked in a brothel, was a white slaver ,pimp, and ******.

I and several others called you on it, and you reversed and disappeared up your own arse.
You did the same thing after stating Bob Foster had won many major amateur medals, and competitions ,same reaction from the board ,and same reaction from you .
No retractions were forth coming from you, though several posters asked for them.
I made one remark that was in dubious taste ,and, when I realised Eddie's relative was on here,, I edited it.
You, n the other hand, were shown up as a credulous youth ,who swallowed a load of bull**** and could not get to his PC quick enough to repeat it.

If you want to rekindle hostilities with me fine ,but remember you are not too clever at repartee,Charlie Mag.:good

In the book Ghosts of Manila, the author describes Frazier's bitterness at Futch's decision to pull Joe out at the end of the fourteenth. Anyone with any sense knows that it was the best thing Futch could have done. Frazier would have got slaughtered if he'd been sent back out there. Eddie was one of the best trainers ever.
