Just fight Callum Smiff in the summer then and see how Bivol/Canelo pans out. All of this ''almost 40'' talk is meaningless if he bashes up another mando and makes 2024 all about Bivol. Beterbiev could be undisputed and retired before he's 40. The activity might help him stay sharp perhaps. Instead we'll get some dragged-out shitshow where Mauricio needs to be paid off for actually enforcing a mando while a genuine clown like JermAll can fight a plumber once every 18 months. If Smiff wants to fight an elite P4P top 10 19(19) unified champ in his third fight at 175 after losing rounds to and getting hit by the likes of Bauderlique, and wants to get in the way of undisputed then I hope he gets smashed. I have no idea where Eddie and Tony Bellend are coming from thinking Callum can get this done, and even their usual muppetry doesn't fully cover it. Are they still living in 2018? Have they not seen Beterbiev's recent fights? Is this the same thinking that went into booking the Usyk fight?
