LOL I got banned a few months back for it, just giving u the heads up lol. I got banned for a month I think.
About time I got banned been here for like 20 years never been banned, I spend too much time on here anyway, some time off would probably be good for me, lol.
I think you're being purposefully obtuse, you've been a member of this forum long enough to know what I'm talking about.
I'm not sure about that. Brits have complex of small nation, and it's weird, because they are not a small nation. They are demanding and biased at the same time. I remember when they were praising Rooney and saying that he was a world class, but every time he could not score, they were saying that he was trash and don't deserve anything. Rooney was my favourite british player after Giggs and it was so sad to see his own countrymen say those thing about him. He was world class, but just not the level of Ronaldo. Why do you have this need to have best player or boxer in the world and hyping him up so much that he himself believes that, when he is not and when he fails to deliver what you demand, you don't back him anymore.
Brits do have a mentality where we raise people up, but once they get to the top we tear them down because we think nobody should get too big for their boots. So if you don't perform then you are open for criticism. I don't agree with your last statement. Boxing is different to football, many boxers who lose don't lose their drawing power or favour with the British public. Froch for example was bigger after he lost to Ward. Hatton even after the losses to Mayweather and Pac was and is still hugely popular. Bruno was a perennial loser, failing to win the world title again and again but British fans still always supported him. Eubank was hated by many during his prime years, he was your typical bad guy, but after his losses to Collins and then his brave losses to Thompson he started to get more love from those that criticised him before. British boxing fans more than any I think stick with their boxers win or lose. Look at my avi pic, Chisora is my favourite heavyweight right now and I've lost count how many times he's lost and I'm not the only one that appreciates him when you consider he's been fighting on PPV in recent fights.
But was he consider to be as good as Price for example in the past ? I'm not talking about regular fighters, but good fighters with solid skills, but they were just not world level, but was marketed that way.
He was seen as a contender in the UK much like Price at one point, perhaps not with the same level of expectations as he had the early loss to Fury but after the Helelnius fight as well as the Vitali fight he was seen as a contender. If anything he got more respected after the loss to Vitali. Even after his loss to Haye he got support and then had the 2nd fight with Fury where many were supporting him to win that fight. He wasn't just thrown on the trash heap because he had I think 4 losses at that point. Price failed to live up to the hype, but even when he fought Povetkin he got a lot of support. Nobody thought he would win, but Brit fans supported him. Brits boxing fans don't just care about if you win or lose it's about how you perform. Give it your best and the fans will respect you even if you lose.
Wow, you sure let Bob Arum off the hook. Arum has been promoting fights since the late 1960s. There are a lot of unification fights he's failed to make over the last 50 years. Too many to count. Far far far too many to count. I'm still waiting for the Light Heavyweight unification he promised every week for about two years that at one point featured Michael Moorer, Virgil Hill, Dennis Andries and Prince Charles Williams. Has he inked that one yet? Or should I move on? (LOL)
Bob Arum is a HOF promoter he gave the fans Ali-Frazier LOL What has Eddie Hearn done? Eddie is a chump compared to Bob Arum & Al Haymon
It only hapens if you do it in a negative post about a monitors favorite fighters. Then you're banned quick, fast in a hurry.
Eh, he partly failed on some opportunities for unifications and undisputed fights but to be fair most promoters struggle on that front unless they have a hegemony on a particular division. Not really his fault totally, but his constant blabbing to the press during negotiations surely doesn't help with the process as businessmen tend to appreciate privacy about these matters.
